The Making of a Napkin

Six controlled steps turn Canadian kraft pulp into folded napkins ready for wholesale and retail packs. Every step counts.

Pulp preparation

Canadian softwood kraft pulp is mixed with water and refined to the right fibre length.

Sheet forming

A Fourdrinier machine spreads the fibre mix into one continuous wet sheet.

Pressing & drying

Rollers remove water first. Heated drums finish the drying with an even surface.

Embossing & cutting

Patterns are pressed into the sheet, then rotary cutters set each napkin's size.

Folding & counting

Automatic folders make crisp folds and deliver counted stacks to the packing line.

Quality inspection

Cameras check every run while trained staff complete manual spot checks.
